I baby-sit my next door neighbor's kids and I like to keep them entertained. They are about 3 & 5 years of age. Any suggestions?

Maybe you could ask if you can help the kids decorate sugar cookies (bake them before you babysit) You could all decorate your own cookies any way you like them...use frosting, sprinkles, writing gel...

Charades (you put names of things like animals on pieces of paper and pick one and act it out without talking and see who can guess what you are first)

You can get cheap wooden picture frames from the $1 store and but some craft supplies...paint, glitter...and each decorate your own picture frame

Good luck!!

Make clay using flour and water
Make finger paint using dish soap and food color
Play pirate using the paper tubes from paper towels as pirate scopes
Play fort by placing a sheet over a table and making the table a fort
Kick ball in the backyard
Stargaze at night, make out the constellations
Gaze at clouds and see how many animals you can find.
Find an anthill and watch how busy they are

The possibilities are endless.

Have you ever made potato stamps? Get a potato---you cut it in half, then give the kids a something safe to carve a picture out with into the veggie! Get some food coloring and paper and let them stamp it out. Also, if you are allowed to use their computer, check out websites like nickjr.com and sit with them while they play the educational games on the site. Hope I helped.

well children at this age like seeing adults making fools out of themselfs lol.

so with my nephews and neice i play the role of the mum who gets easily fooled by the kids i change my voice to sound funny and try to make them laugh.

like set the kid down and pretend to go looking for something and tell him not to move and ofcourse he will! so you should go crazy and look for him everywhere..it always works lol!

they'd laugh and laugh and the most important thing is that they'd LOVE you =D
