My boyfriend has just confessed to me he has Type 1 herpes. He has been really unluckly as he has only had 3 sexual partners (he is 24) but he has had a bad outbreak and i know the virus will remain in his system forever.

I feel bad for him and he feels awful about the situaltion as well. I really don't want to catch it, will we need to use condoms throughout our whole relationship?

but as for the herpes thing this is what i found

HSV-1 and HSV-2 can be found in and released from the sores that the viruses cause, but they also are released between outbreaks from skin that does not appear to be broken or to have a sore. Generally, a person can only get HSV-2 infection during sexual contact with someone who has a genital HSV-2 infection. Transmission can occur from an infected partner who does not have a visible sore and may not know that he or she is infected.

HSV-1 can cause genital herpes, but it more commonly causes infections of the mouth and lips, so-called "fever blisters." HSV-1 infection of the genitals can be caused by oral-genital or genital-genital contact with a person who has HSV-1 infection. Genital HSV-1 outbreaks recur less regularly than genital HSV-2 outbreaks.

Most people infected with HSV-2 are not aware of their infection. However, if signs and symptoms occur during the first outbreak, they can be quite pronounced. The first outbreak usually occurs within two weeks after the virus is transmitted, and the sores typically heal within two to four weeks. Other signs and symptoms during the primary episode may include a second crop of sores, and flu-like symptoms, including fever and swollen glands. However, most individuals with HSV-2 infection may never have sores, or they may have very mild signs that they do not even notice or that they mistake for insect bites or another skin condition.

Most people diagnosed with a first episode of genital herpes can expect to have several (typically four or five) outbreaks (symptomatic recurrences) within a year. Over time these recurrences usually decrease in frequency.

There is no treatment that can cure herpes, but antiviral medications can shorten and prevent outbreaks during the period of time the person takes the medication. In addition, daily suppressive therapy for symptomatic herpes can reduce transmission to partners.

My best friend has had genital herpes for about eight months now, and it's been really rough. She's had about 7 outbreaks. Everywhere I read it says it stops flaring up so much after time, but its not getting less frequent for her. She's been on Antiviral meds the whole time, too. She also has type 1 diabetes which she has had her whole life, which really weakens her immune system. Will it ever get better?

But after a friend share this video everything has changed.

Yes.

The virus isn't always on show. The lesions maybe on the inside of his penis, so you wouldn't be able to see them, so you will always have to use a condom with a spermicide just to make sure. But the condom could break.

You do not want to take a chance on catching it. You may not even know you have it til years later when you want to have a baby. That's when this virus is the most cruel. You can have an outbreak while giving birth. The virus will be in the birth canal and in your womb. Your baby would be born blind at best, dead at worst.

Is that really worth it for a bit of sex?

I got identified with herpes type 2 approximately three yrs ago, while I was attending college and had a silly one-night affair. I think lots of girls will say this but believe me I never did that sort of thing. I jud made a mistake that one time and, suddenly, it seemed like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never meet men again. After all, who wants to date a girl who has sores around her you-know-what? But after a good friend shared this movie https://tr.im/SYsHa everything has changed.

Not only was I able to eliminate all traces of the herpes virus from my system in less than two weeks, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so blessed to write that just last week, in fornt of many people in a crowded restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!! This program gave me the chance to be happy again, and to experience true love.

this is not a huge deal. you will not definitely catch it. you always need to wear a condom. even when he is not having an outbreak you can still get it. herpes is not a hugely life altering thing, like other STDs, but that is no reason not to be careful. if the person is important to you, this is not something that should make or break your relationship.
