What do they do for the power and speed of your punches,if anything and can they cause any wrist or shoulder damage or something like that?

they will have no effect on power or speed. power comes from the legs and the torso and speed comes from training the CNS

depending on your level of fitness and the condition of the shoulder girdle they could or could not cause injury to the area...if you are going to do them I would use very light weights (2.5 lbs)

I start every morning doing about 45 punches per arm. It has toned my shoulders and biceps and triceps. Also it hasnt really messed up my joints.
