keep reading on!
The very next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and yelled out, "Here he is, God's Passover Lamb! He forgives the sins of the world! This is the man I've been talking about, 'the One who comes after me but is really ahead of me.' I knew nothing about who he was—only this: that my task has been to get Israel ready to recognize him as the God-Revealer. That is why I came here baptizing with water, giving you a good bath and scrubbing sins from your life so you can get a fresh start with God."
((the message)) john 1:29-31
there is an un-fathomable amount of sin in this world. its saying that he can take away anyones sin. but, anyone who asks will be forgiven.

No, it means Jesus was sent here to take away our sins. He was sent here for a specific purpose, to be a propitiation for our sins. And he was sent here for the whole world. All we have to do to receive forgiveness for our sins is to accept Jesus Christ as our personal Savior. Not just that he died for all the sins of the whole word but bringing it down to a personal level and understanding that he paid the price for YOUR sins...YOU....YOUR sins. He is the worlds Savior but he is also YOUR Savior. Sin will always exist because God gave us free will. He wants us to choose between doing right and doing wrong. Between God or Satan....between Heaven or Hell. God could wipe out every bar, pub, gambling house, hore house and porno shop on the planet in the blink of his eye. But then we would be doing good because we don't have any other options. If we can't choose to do wrong then we can't choose to do right either and God wants us to CHOOSE to do right. He doesn't want robots that just do what he says. He wants us to choose to do what he says. But, when we accept the gift Jesus has to give God takes our sins away...
Psa 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, [so] far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

You can't tell that there is sin in the world? Of course there's sin in the world. Jesus came to take OUR sin. Those who trust Christ as Lord and Savior will have their sins taken from them. When they die they will be accepted into heave because their sins will be paid for and gone.

It is true, but notice that the verse says, "Look, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world." It is "who takes away," not "who has taken away." The sin of the world WILL be destroyed, but that hasn't happened yet. Sin still exists.

no, the sin has been taken away, but not all have this understanding, so....there are many who believe that there is sin in the world and that God is angry, but there are also many who believe that there is a santa clause, or a hell that people burn in after this life, but it doesn't make it true.
After a clear reading of the scriptures, it is clear that the preachers and pastors go to college to learn how to deceive the people and put them in fear, but we know that perfect love cast out fear, and God loves us all perfectly, we have nothing to fear.
