Does HD work with normal cable?if so how can i put it?

No. You need the special box from your cable company. YOu could buy an hdtv antenna, that would get your braodcast channels in hdtv. Even with the special box not all channels are HD only like 10-20. The good thing is most HD boxes are also dvr's, at least in my cable area.

Without the box or antenna you can use the TV but the signal will not be HD.

if ur talking about a tv yes a hdtv will
