I found out 6-8 tiny clear wings insects once I started cutting it open. The grocery store is happy to refund, but I don't want to make the trip!

I would cover it in cold water for a half an hour to an hour. Then rinse it and it will be good to go. Either dry it a bit and put it away or cook it.

Yes, its OK to it eat it. Fruit flies are always in our fruits & vegetables. Sometimes we don't physically see them but, know that their eggs are already attatched to our food. Thats why like in the winter time if u buy bananas or something & if u let them sit up until they go bad. The eggs will hatch & you'll see little flies flying around in your kitchen or maybe even your refrigerator.

I know the thought of it is pretty gross, but imagine when you're in a restuarant things like this appears. And, its disregarded- Because the show must go on-its cooked, served and we still live after eating it.

The only difference is we just don't know about it. But, no harm shall come to u if u eat that cauliflower. So Bon-appetie!

Put some salt in water and leave the cauliflower to soak in it for abt 5-10 mins then rinse and cook. Dont add too much salt when cooking though as there will be some slat in it from the soaking

Well, flies come from worms..so you likely have worms in there too. Check and see, if you do..you can cut out that part and eat the rest..or throw it away, or take it back for a refund :)

Just wash very thoroughly. Cut apart and rewash again. A little protein never hurt anyone.

Wash it good. Cook it and enjoy additional protein. These are not insects that live in filth like cockroaches.

If the insects have hatched, your cauliflower is contaminated and bad. Did you buy organic? Organic foods are notorious for this.

I wouldn't eat it.

Very common. Just clean it really good before you eat it.
