how do i change whats starting up on my pc ,, there is too many things starting when i turn on my pc,, i want to stop some of them i dont need! i forget how to do it !! cheers

start, then run, then type
msconfig
then goto the start up tab and uncheck all the progs you dont want

To see what loads on startup
Start>Run>type in Msconfig>Start up tab
Go to this site for loads of info on those programs and if it is safe or not to disable them!

Go to a command prompt and type msconfig and hit enter. Go to the STARTUP tab. Uncheck the ones you don't want to start.

Disable any services that you dont want running automatically

For one you can uninstall in the add remove programs in the control panel,or you can right click them on your tool bar and select exit on the popup menu to shut them down.

Under your start menu>all programs there is a folder that says start up. This contains a list of programs that start up with windows. Remove them from this list and they won't start up with windows.

click on start
then run on bottom left
type in msconfig and click ok
then click on start up tab and unclick all the things you don't need, if you don't know what they are don't unclick them of course you can always restore to what you originally had

start --> run --> msconfig ok then startup tab top right untick the ones u dont want apply close and yes to restart.

you can go to download.com and type start-up-doctor you can choose which programs to start and which to disable , i also have it on computer
