It will be difficult but it can be done. You could get help from the state for housing (HUD), formula for your baby if your not breastfeeding (WIC), I think you would qualify for food stamps for you and Medicade for you and your baby. It would be very hard and you would have to find some way to get childcare so that you can go to work. We have a thing called NOCAC up here that helps with childcare. You can do it if you search out the programs to help you do it since your family is unable or unwilling to help. My sister is 15 and going through the same thing. Our family isnt unwilling to help. We do help her but we dont all have the financial nessisities. Good luck in this difficult situation. If you have questions please contact me on Yahoo messanger my name is tony_stewart_fan_20

It must be very hard, but anything is possible for you. I know a young girl in our church who is twenty, never married, has 3 children and the oldest are twins who are 3 years old and the baby 18 months. Not only is she making it with the assistance of the government and child support, she finished high school, has a real good job and just got a promotion. Now she won't even have to live in subsidized housing. Hang in there and go for your dreams.

who is watching your baby while u work and go to school? How about when u r trying to study? u would need some kind of assistance whether its a day care voucher or welfare or rent assistance. do the math it's not happening without help from somewhere.
i like the sense of the independence that u hold by asking a question like this. i noticed that u didn't include assistance from the government. my nephew and his girlfriend did it on their own with no gvt. assistance. they were both 17 ( this happened 10 years ago ) and right now they both have a good job and a big beautiful house. so u would be able to survive, but not without help from someone.

Yes it is possible. It will not be easy. You well need to get some help from the state agencies. I would start with a school consler that may be able to get you some names of places that can help you. You need to see if the state you leave in helps with daycare expences. Again it will not be easy but with a strong will you will make it. GOOD LUCK!!!

Yes it is. You would most likely be eligible for some ADC as well as financial help with daycare and medical care and WIC to help provide some nutritious foods. Check with your state Health and Human Service Office. It won't be easy by any means, but if you are in that situation, then you owe it to yourself and your child to accept whatever help you are eligible for and work toward self sufficiency.

Yep, it is not easy, but you will be glad you did. You need a good education to bring up that baby. And when your family sees you are serious, I bet they will come around. You should see about getting child support from the childs father. Good Luck

Anything is possible. However I believe it will be very difficult for you and the baby. Try looking for assistance from churches or other organizations. Remember it is no longer about what you want, it is about the baby.

It's not easy, but possible. You will need support financially and emotionally. You need to find that support via government aid, community groups, churchs. There is a lot of help out there, it is up to you to find it.

No certainly not!!
Get the family to help, get the father to help, get some food stamps to help, get welfare to help, get a GED instead to help, get your girlfriends to help, have the school counselor help, have your church members help.
Use birth control THAT really helps!!
