It shouldn't hurt too bad. We had a seven year old have two baby teeth out a few weeks ago at my office and she said that it never hurt. The procedure is pretty much the same for everyone. Your dentist may give you laughing gas to start off with and then numb the area where you are having the tooth extracted. It depends on the dentist when it comes to the laughing gas. Some dentists don't use it. After that you will feel pressure, but you shouldn't feel any pain. The dentist will then remove the tooth with special tools designed just for that. Most baby teeth have very short roots so they come out very easy compared to having your wisdom teeth removed. I assumed that you are having it removed so the permanent tooth can move into place. If so, the permanent tooth will come in soon after the other one is removed. The dentist will give you further instructions on what to do after the tooth is removed. It's not difficult and I promise you will be ok!

I am a dentist and to answer your questions: When pulling a tooth, dentists will use local anesthetic (give you a shot) most of the time to numb it. When he is certain you are numb, you will feel pressure as they take it out. Once the tooth is out, you will bite on some gauze for some time until the bleeding is controlled. If the tooth was infected, they may prescribe you an antibiotic to take for some time.
Now people can retain their baby teeth for their whole lifes, especially if they are congentially missing the permanent teeth that follows. I would go to the dentist and have them take a look first before you deciding for certain that a tooth has to come out.

Well atleast your not getting your wisdom teeth tokking out.
Im 13 and ive never had a tooth pulled so I dont know but A lot of people say that when you get your tooth pulled out it doesnt hurt and I think ive also heard that braces hurt way more then that.
Just think of something that makes you happy and close your eyes while they do it.

it shouldnt hurt, they will give you a shot of novacain (that also, while not comfortable, wont hurt much ), then the area of your mouth where the tooth is will have no feeling,,, so the actual pulling will not hurt,,,,, afterwards,,,, dont drink fluids for a while (about an hour or so )nor suck on a straw,,,, your dentist will give you specific advice,,,,,,

they use novacaine with one or two shots, its not bad at all i had four that were adult teeth (my jaw is too small) and my dentist didnt wait long enough for the novacaine to start working, and that HURT..so just make sure your dentist waits til you cant feel anything-- also if it helps bring an MP3 player or something with you! Good luck!
