Mayweather is lightening fast, in great shape and very technical (at times). De La Hoya is not quite as fast, probably more technical, way stronger and just as smart. Realistically though, I think Mayweather's speed, distance-finding jab and footwork will help him out-point the Golden Boy. But De La Hoya is one of the best there is at implementing a strategy to neutralize speed and quickness and then executing it in the ring. He is very good when it comes to preparation and of course, being the stronger man, has a punchers chance.

He (De La Hoya) has to stay close so he can smother Mayweather punches, and back him up. He needs to cut the ring off and make Mayweather fight in one spot and force a physical, brawl-like tempo. If he does that, I think he can bully Mayweather and get some good clean shots in. I hope he corners Mayweather and unloads on him..................but Mayweather is too quick and too smart to let that happen. I hate to say it but, Mayweather wins 7 of 10 rounds, unanimously.

I will admit that I stopped liking Mayweather because he just talks to much. I understand that you have to have an ego to box but DO NOT TAKE IT UPON YOURSELF TO PUT YOURSELF INTO THE HALL OF FAME!!! Ali did it, but he will be the first to tell you that he did it for showmanship and to sell tickets. He was actutally very humble outside the ring. Mayweather, I think he actually smells his own #@*%!!!
