that if you want to lose weight have lots of sex? You only burn a little over 200 calories an hour vs. more than 500 calories an hour when walking at a moderate pace!

By the way.. I am 24 and not a virgin thank you very much. It is just one of the first responses that people give when someone asks how to lose weight. (I see it a lot on Yahoo Answers.)

Well lets see most people are too lazy to attempt exercise. But if it's fun and your get pleasure out of it, why not do it and count it as exercise.

The problem with keeping an exercise program is lack of motivation of or positive results. Think more about the positive things you've accomplished in the day rather than what you didn't get done. Besides even if you don't lose weight through sex, at least you both got something out of it, hopefully.

And I would also like to add that it is great excersie and you burn alot more than 200 calories in an hour, are you kidding me. Many women would like toned thighs, yet with most women when your on top can't hold themselves up for and extended amount of time without their thighs giving out on them. Pick a position that uses that not only uses your core muscles but your vital stabalizing muscles as well, some positions get tricky but the harder it is, the more calories your burning.

3 hours of GOOD sex is the equivalent to jogging 9 miles, beats treadmills, and walking /running around town. And if your having sex at a moderate pace, then it's not GOOD sex, pick up the pace. If you have sex for 3 hours in intervals of 30 minutes with a 2-3 minute rest period 4-5 time a week, your going to find that your calories will burn faster and you'll lose more of them. In know time your going to have a lower % of body fat, and your going to get toned quicker. Drink lots of water and orange juice for a quicker recovery during your rest periods.

I guess, from your question, you haven't "really" had real sex yet, cause it is sure more energetic then walking, and the problem is not exertion, it is duration.

Too many men, just give up after 15 minutes, so you have to train and work out with several people to develop your best performance, and use the most calories.

most people have no clue about what they are talking about when it comes to health and fitness. they read an article on a web page or hear something on tv, etc. and take it as fact...
