YELLOW ... has a bright but neutral quality to it that you will not tire of ... lots of shades to choose from depending on the colors in your comforter ... find the shade you want and choose one shade lighter on the paint sample strip unless you have a lot of light in the room ... it will look one shade darker on the wall. Eggshell is a good finish (not flat and not gloss). With light-medium yellow walls you can accent with the other colors you mention for accessories, pictures, pillows, lamps, whatever ...
Good Luck.

look at a color wheel on the internet. Type in color wheel and choose 3 colors next to each other on it. It will look real cool. You could choose a first color like Red, Orange, Green, Yellow, Pink and then choose 2 colors next to any of those or another color,

You can buy 2 or 3 kinds of paint that match(painting 2 walls on color, 2 the other) or if you want to paint stripes on the walls they can be painted with quarts of paint which are cheaper, or acrylic paint sold at michaels or wal mart. It your not so sure about permanent stripes on your walls you can use other things like fabric, streamers, etc. To make your room look bigger paint it in lighter colors (they can still be bright) and u can use mirrors to make it look bigger, too. I just re decorated my room and it was a lot of work but now I love it!!! Good luck!!!!

first thing you have to consider is that you will probably not have that exact same comforter for ever and ever; but if you plan on keeping it & then replacing it with the same colors (as years go by) I'd take my favorite color of the different colors and use that as the wall color; for example, if you like orange, you could use a peach shade or coral for your walls, and plan the rest of your accessories around that color...of course if you like pink, or any one of the other colors, the same thing applies...just a thought..good luck and have fun!!!!

The comforter you described may be a little busy for a room with red walls. It may not look to bad with a yellow wall though. I like red & yellow as a bedroom colors. Click links below to get ideas.

I painted my room with a color called "Dusty Rose", it's a muted pink and came out very modern but yet romantic because it is not your traditional pink.
