The other day, the neighbor girl invited herself over to my apartment again, and she was leaning on a shelf where I keep my books and the Ukrainian-style eggs my mum decorated for me years ago. I'll admit that it's not a very sturdy shelf because I found it the last time I went dumpster diving in the summer, but she was leaning on it strangely which caused most of the books to fall off. I sort of jumped as it happened at first because I thought that the Ukrainian-style eggs would fall off of the shelf as well.

She caught the shelf, and the eggs didn't fall...only the books. But then she started crying, crying, and crying about how sorry she was; her tears soaked the floor really...

I told her that I am not upset and that I only jumped because I was worried about the eggs. The girl has baked cookies for me for the past week--every day since she bumped the shelf, and every day I tell her it's okay. While they are good cookies, I want her to stop feeling bad about it.

Maybe you should write her a letter and express it on paper. Then maybe she will understand. I know I understand things better when they are written down in a letter or a list. And I can express myself better by writing things down.

Tell her that you may have over reacted (even though you didn't)with the shelf falling over. Tell her that it is fine and several people have done the excact same thing before. You can buy hooks at a hardware store for really cheap to keep the shelf from falling agian.

i do no longer think of you should deliver it. itemizing each and all of the failings that make you offended in writing in basic terms makes you seem only as undesirable as him. possibly it somewhat is a mind-blowing element you wrote all of it out and that is a launch for you, yet i could advise take the extreme highway and not bypass giving somebody a itemizing of their errors. i understand which you're harm and hurting somebody back sounds like a mind-blowing thought yet interior the destiny you should desire you hadn't. Kindly tell him its over and go away it at that. you would be an more suitable individual interior the top that way with good karma for a mind-blowing individual to come again into your life. good success :)

Tell her it's over and done with and that you'll be getting a better shelf to put up so it doesn't happen in the future. There'll be no more talking about it. (Better fix the shelf....You don't want to lose those beautiful eggs your mom decorated for you.)

Maybe say something like it startled you, that's why you jumped. Ask her to give you a hand in making it sturdier. (Ask a question in the DIY section for advice on that. ;-)

Consider the possibility that she has an, um, ulterior motive behind the cookies. And seeing you every day....

just tell her that the cookies made up for it, she might just feel better, and it probably gets boring making cookies all the time.
