In a recipe when they say add a dash of wine, do they mean a glass or what?
How much wine is it supposed to be?

A splash usually means a small amount like a few table spoons but for me I like to be able to taste every thing I put in to a meal, not so much to where it's over powering but enough so that theres a hint of it in there. Depending on what you're cooking and how large it is depends on the "splash" size, so if your cooking a meal for 2 I would be on the safe side and add 2 or 3 tablespoons of wine..... Now if you're cooking for 10 you would be safe with the cup ( 8 oz.) of wine. Good luck :)

What you do is quickly tilt the bottle or cotainer of wine over the meal and then, right after liquid starts pouring in, you quickly hold the bottle right side up again. That is a splash or dash depending or the way the recipe states it. It's very quick and sudden.

You're supposed to take the open wine bottle and quickly turn it over the dish and back up again. That is a dash.

A dash is usually expressed as a small amount but varries depending on the meal cooked. I suggesst that a glass full would be too much, but start of with small amounts and taste the meal.
After a time you will be able to develop the amount needed.

not a glass. Pour the wine in the pan while counting to 1 (one -one thousand). That's about a dash.

a dash of wine is a couple of tablespoons
or once around the pot or pan with your thumb kind of regulating the wine coming out of the bottle

bacically about the same amount as when you have vinegar on your fish and chips. but all depends to your tasting. Chefs usually add a bit in at a time and taste their cooking before adding anymore so it tastes to your liking

I would say 1 tsp would be a dash.

A glass would be way too much.

If you posted the recipe that would help.

About 2 teaspoons because it is just for a stronger taste and for the flavor.
