For the past couple of weeks, i've been sick, and i have the cold. Just this week, on new years day i went outside and it was very cold. I didnt wear a coat or nething, i just had a shawl. Neways the next night before i was going to sleep i felt this awkward pain on the sides of my chest. In the morning when i woke up my back was hurting a little bit. Right now my back is hurting from the hip area, my arms a little bit and my entire back (also shoulders). I do have a slight cough at the moment, but it's not severe. My nose isn't runny, nor am i sneezing. Also i keep having the need to use the bathroom, to take #2. Could this be a flu, or is something wrong? I'm only 16

Everyone experiences the flu differently and there are different strains of the flu. Me, I usually will get very achy all over and I will be so cold all over and a fever of 102. I never get sick or get the runs like most people. Here is a website I found on flu facts and symptoms of the flu. They have more to read than what I copied and pasted for you if you want to read up on it: The flu doesn't care how old you are. http://www.flufacts.com/symptoms/default.aspx?WT.srch=1&SOURCE=GOOG&KEYWORD=p I hope you feel better soon. Most people have it a day or two and it goes away. You should probably see your doctor since it seems to lasting for you. It might be something else.

FluFACTS Information
Flu symptoms can be mild or severe — and if they’re mild can become severe without much notice. Be aware of your body and monitor your body temperature.

The common symptoms of the flu include:

Fever (usually high)
Headache
Muscle aches
Chills
Extreme tiredness
Dry cough
Runny nose may also occur but is more common in children than adults
Stomach symptoms, such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, may also occur but are more common in children than adults

You don’t need to experience all of these symptoms to have the flu. If you have one or two, it's recommended that you see your doctor. We've prepared a list of helpful questions to ask your doctor to help you make the most of your visit.
1. How can I prevent the flu?

3. What can I do to protect my children from the flu?
4. Should I get a flu vaccine to prevent the flu?
5. Should I get a flu vaccine for my children?

You do not get sick from going outdoors on a cold day without a coat.
Viruses make you sick. You have a virus. Get plenty of rest. Take some Tylenol and drink lots of fluids.

If you had a flu bug, you would have a high fever, chills severe achyness, perhaps vomiting.
Very few people actually get influenza. They just assume that because they have a bad cold it's the flu.

The pain in your side sounds a little bit like appendicitis (sorry for the spelling) but i really dont know about the other stuff. IF you live in Canada, try calling healthlinks to talk free to a nurse who can tell you exactly whats going on.

Go see a doctor dear. Doctors have the ability to diagnose, Yahoo members don't.
