Since I've gotten sick, the last few days I've been very constipated. I've popped a couple pills to help with that, but I really don't wanna have to keep putting that into my system. Aside from the all famous prunes, what other foods are really good to help with constipation and get my bowels back on track? The bloating and weight has added 2 pounds, which isn't accurrate, and I have a weigh-in day on Monday so I'd like it to be as accurate as possible.

Add some fiber to your diet. Fiber is a natural laxative b/c your body can't break it down completely thus flushing it through your system. Brown rice is healthy and always seems to do the trick. But if your looking for some type of flush, you might consider taking a quart of spring water and 2 tsp. of sea salt. Use room temperture water and mix well. What you have in front of you would be a concoction similar to your blood in terms of density and specific gravity, thus downing this mixture as quick as possible it will enter your system and your body will not absorbe any of it. And stay near a bathroom for the next 30 min after you do drink it, b/c its on its way out and you wil not be able to hold it back. Its a great flush to cleanse your colon and digestive tract, do it in the morning on an empty stomach.

Rhubarb is a wonderful-tasting natural laxative. I'd recommend stewed with yoghurt, cream or custard, or in a crumble or pie. But don't go overboard, as too much rhubarb will have the opposite effect! Strange but true. Figs are good too, and delicious when they're fresh. I don't know about blueberries, but a lot of any fruit and/or veg will provide your body with lots of fibre, and this will flush your system out after a day or so. Also, prune juice is a laxative.

Drink plenty of water, at least half of your body weight in ounces. Example if you weigh,, 150 , you need to drink 75 ounces a day. Then add lots of fresh fruits, and vegetables and whole grains to your diet. Also, add the fiber Psyllium which can be found at your local grocery story in the laxative section, It is not a laxative and quite gentle. Also, exercise, even just walking can stimulate your bowls.

Dip your finger in tobasco sauce and rub it around the rim.. Then do a Tobasco sauce enima .. It hurts allot but the only relief you get from the burning is pushing a large poop out... Look up Chili pepper laxatives.. They hurt super bad.. But its like a good hurt.. THe kind of hurt when you are just about to pinch off the largest turd of all. Sends shivers down your spine.

You can go to Wal-Mart and get some Metamucil, or the generic equivalent. It's all natural. Also, apple juice tends to help too. Best of luck

I'm not sure if this is natural but I know if you consume too much artificial sweetener it has a laxitive effect. A bag of sugar free candy just tears right through you.

Water is the best laxative. In addition to your daily intake you should have one glass as you wake up and a smaller amount before bed.
