Fluffy Pancakes
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup shortening, melted
In a small bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Combine the egg, milk and shortening; stir into dry ingredients just until moistened.
Pour batter by 1/4 cupful onto a greased hot griddle. Turn when bubbles form on top of pancakes; cook until the second side is golden brown. Yield: 8 pancakes.

1&1/2 cups of peanuts
1/2 cup of karo syrup
1 cup of suger
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
Mix sugar, salt, nuts, & syrup. Place in microwave for 4 minutes on high. Stir and microwave for another 4 minutes. Add butter and vanilla,stir in then microwave for 1 minute more. Add 1 teaspoon baking soda, stir, after it foams up poor it onto a nonstick cookie sheet. Let cool. You just made peanut brittle.

open a can of tuna, open a can of soup, scrabbles eggs, peanut butter and jelly on crackers, chips, cold cuts....look in the fridge and see what ya got!
