I was a shy girl in hs myself. Sometimes we feel a little timid when being asked out.
I know it might sound "lame", but try writing her a nice little note letting her know how you feel. She can respond in writing and give you an honest answer. This should releive some of the stress of a face to face encounter. Which us shy girls like to avoid.
Wish you the best!

Shy girls are so funny!! If she likes you, you will notice that even though she is shy, you always seem to find her crossing your path!! She will try to find you in the hallways, or keep track as to where you are, and when she finally does, she will play hard to get!! Get to know her and become her friend. Don't force anything on her, this will put yourself in the wrong position. I always say, if it is meant to be, things will flow the right way. Let it flow man.

I've had a similar problem. Im in high school. Be nice to the girl. If she likes you, she'll be nice back and want to meet up to see you outside of school.

make it a point to start a conversation just with her, and see if she wants to hang out sometime. it doesn't have to be like a date, but by yourselves would be better, or like bowling with a group of friends. if you show her she's interested, she will show you too. don't be afraid to ask her out either, the worst she can say is no. trust me, its better to try than just wonder about it
