When a peace treaty or agreement is signed with Israel.

That prophecy had a dual fulfillment. Or has two times to be fullfilled.

How do we know? Well, obviously, if you back up and look at what Jesus said regarding the temple at the end of Chapter 23, then we see in the beginning of 24, the disciples ask about the temple. We also then see Jesus talk about things that could be fulfilled in the Roman world, so he was prophesying about the end of the Jewish religious system of things with the temple. But Jesus would also switch gears, and start speaking of things that would / could only see fulfillment AFTER Jerusalem's temple was destroyed in 70 C.E., To support this, the apostle John confirmed this in the book of Revelation, as well as the other books that were written after 70 C.E.

When the tribulation occurs, we do not know. Jesus stated that no one knows the day or the hour. Neither the Son, nor the Angels in Heaven, but only the Father. In the Last Days, that we are living, the Great Tribulation will be the final culmination of the Last Days. It will come in various phases. Babylon the Great will be destroyed (Tying in all the prophecies regarding Babylon from Revelation, to Revelation 1:10 which says this happens in the Lords Day, and otherwise referred to as "The Last Days") Then, celestial phenomenon will begin. The annointed of God will be sealed for their heavenly reward. Jesus will then sit down, and begin the judgement, however that will play out, and take place. Then, the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the heavens. Whatever, and however this appears. Regardless, all will understand it when it does appear. The result? All the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in lamentation. Then?

The final battle of Armageddon. The war between God, and Satan's earthly forces that remain.

Good news for all loyal worshipers of God, and of Jesus Christs kingdom subjects!

If you'd like, I can edit this post, and provide all of the scriptural references. Well, I have to eat lunch now, but maybe I'll come back to this post, and do so after I eat. 8^)

Never. And always.

Never in that The Tribulation and Rapture are the inventions of a preacher from the 1700s, based on his interpretation of scripture.

Beliefs in a physical rapture before the final war between good and evil go back to the first montheistic religion: Persian Zoroastrianism. (It had a god, devil, son of god, angels, saints, end of the world, final judgment, heaven and hell, too... only 1500 years earlier than Christianity.)

These ideas have a history, and every Christian should know them. The History Channel actually had a program on this earlier in the week.

There is much theological debate about whether or not the fundamentalist interpretation is correct.

Belief in the Tribulation seems to give fundamentalists a real boost to self-esteem. Some think that is what fundamentalism is all about: to give people a sense of unique meaning and belonging to their lives. They seem to need to believe they are somehow better than others because of something they did and will be raptured up and avoid this so-called Tribulation.

The Book of Romans and the Epistle of Paul to the Ephesians makes it VERY CLEAR that we had NOTHING TO DO with our personal salvation. NOTHING. We were chosen before the beginning of the world. And according to Romans we are justified by faith-- not our faith, but GOD'S faith in us as his creations. We are ALL saved, according to Romans 5-- Christian, Jew, Muslim, Hindu, Agnostic, Athiest, Buddhist-- EVERYBODY! We should be humble and thank God for such a great gift.

The Bible is a book of midrash: parables used to teach bigger truths. It is not history. It is not prophecy, except to say we all go through personal Tribulation and, sometimes, are Raptured out of it by a belief in someone or something, or by a new understanding that challenges what was causing us woe.

Always in that The Tribulation (catastrophic events) can happen every day. Rapture also happens every day.

The good news is the Kingdom of God is all around you and me. Reach out and touch it, especially through the soul of another, which is infused, as ours is, by the One Mind, the One Soul. We are spiritual cells of the One Mind, the One Soul, the One Body. We are all saved. We can never be separated from the love of God, just like the Earth can never be separated from the Universe. We are a part of God. The Earth is a part of the Universe.

Celebrate! Rejoice! And Imagine Peace and Abundance for all!

There are two tribulations.

The first tribulation is Satan's and will be peace and prosperity to deceive the whole world.

The second tribulation is Christ's return.

The first tribulation is the sixth trump and could sound any day now.

The second tribulation is the seventh trump.

The destruction of Babylon the Great immediately preceeds the Great Tribulation. Babylon the Great is identified as the world empire of false religion, and it's executioner is the UN (or member nations thereof). I can't wait.

personaly i believe we are living in the begining of it!
matthew 24: 6. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.
7. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
8. All these are the beginning of birth pains.
9. "Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.
10. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other,
11. and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.
12. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold,
13. but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.

According to Jesus, it should have happened about 75 A.D., when the temple was destroyed by the Romans.
