Am I being realistic into thinking my boyfriend and I can have a healthy relationship if we both live in different countries? He lives across the border. I really want to try this. I love him and we have a babygirl together.

If you two are devoted enough, it will work. My brother and his girlfriend have been together for about 6 years and they have always lived in separate states... They visit each other every week or so and they have a cell phone plan that allows them to talk to each other for free so they're in constant contact. The weekly visits only started like a year or two ago.

Oh, my brother was about 17 when he started this relationship and she was 19.

It can work out if you really want it too. However, I would assume you have plans to live together in the same country at some point?

Well it worked long enough to have a child together.

You two need to have a serious talk about the future.

However the more important issue here is making sure your daughter has some sort of relationship with her father.

You certainly "have a chance." I've always heard it said, that love will find a way. Indeed, you are in situation whose difficulty is unfathomable for most (including myself). Since you do have a child together, to stick with it will be as rewarding.

Just don't lose touch; communicate often.
