I have been on a million camera sites and it seems that everyone has loyalty to one or the other. My questions is which one do you like and why? I have read that canon has great image quality while pentax has in body IS.

D50, high quality, Low noise. many usable features. Long battery life. Highly upgradable on lenses etc. Many accessories- and accepts most accessories origionally designed for film models. Have many choices on your puchases within the Nikor and tameron range making it veratile within the budget even as ou explore the beauty of the dig relm. And it takes SD cards! Can now get a 4gb card if you so desire (possibly slight overkill though- I know I like to move my images to CD as soon as poss in case of corruption or theft.

I've shot Pentax for ever. Great quality cameras. My wife and I share a K100d. The IS works quite well. Lenses and accessories are common. I like that you can use virtually any Pentax lens ever made on it.
