This ALWAYS happens to me!because I'm hispanic... I used to live with it and then a hairstylist colored my hair with hair right out of the box. you tone it with the lightest blonde you can find at a drugstore. Make sure it's labeled as an "ash" color. such as "light ash blonde" ash neutralizes any red and orange or copperish colors in the hair.

in addition buy a shampoo that's creamy and is blue ( I don't mean head and shoulders) but that's blue and is for blonde hair preferrably look for it at Sally's or any other beauty supply store this keeps it from looking brassy!

That use to happen to me when I would try to do it myself. The only way to fix is would be to just color it back dark or spend the $$ and go to a salon and have a professional do it. That can be expensive. Sometimes they have beauty academy's around that do it for very cheap. Good Luck ! If you have a friend who's a hair dresser, that always helps too.

It's alright, just don't freak out. My friend always dyes her hair, or bleaches it and it turns oranger a lot. and really wierd shades to. All you have to do is redye it, or rebleach it at home. You'll probably need 2 or three people helping you though, she tried it herself and it turned like, poo coloured orange. Teehee. Anywayz, ya, easy as that, get some frends over and redye it or rebleach. But bleaching isn't good for you hair...

Try a semi permanent color. There is no damage to it because it doesn't have any hydrogen peroxide. Pick a color closest to your own then go a shade lighter. Also make sure you have a strong ash shade. If you are concerned about the product knowledge go to a Sally's store. Not always, but most often they hire a stylist for retail advise. You can do it don't be afraid.GOOD LUCK!

If you want to recolor it, make sure that you use a color that has ash tones in it. No gold or honey tones.
If you do not want to put chemicals on it again I have used a product before called fancy fresh. You put it on your hair while it is wet and it will tone down the brassiness. You will find it at drugstores.
They have 2 or 3 colors, I use the fawn shade and it works good. Good luck !
