6" plasic worms rigged texas style. bullet shaped weight placed above the hook. Try pumkinseed or some other light colors because the water is fairly clear. It's best if you fish out of a boat and cast towards the bank and let the worm sink, then pull up on the rod (I prefer three slow pulls until the rod is vertical) then reel in the slack as you lower the rod to horizontal. Always maintain contact with your lure. Let the worm hit bottom and sit for a short period (up to half a minute). The bass will usually hit the lure on the way down but will sometimes pick it up off the bottom. Look for points and those sheer rock walls are good also. Another good method is to approach points from the side and cast past them with a brush buzzer. I have had tremendous luck with that method but the casting into the bank and retreiving slowly with the rise and fall method is more dependable as each point is usually gaurded by one two bass. If you don't get a strike casting past a point after a few casts you need to move on. Always try to carry two rods with each rigged in a different style so you don't have to keep tying on new baits trying to find out what the bass are interested in that day.

I don't know the lake but I can tell you some good baits.

Live bait: For bass the best baits are nightcrawlers and minnows, if your fishing for BIG largemouth bass then use a 10 inch shiner minnow hooked just above the anal fin and toss it into dense weeds if it does not swim into the weeds toss it out again if it still doesn't put another shiner on.

Artificials: The best lures for bass are spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, jitterbugs, stckbaits, rapalas, or any diving plug. Cast them just off a weed bed in 5 to 15 feet of water.

Use a bass pole and baitcasting reel with 10 pound to 20 pound line.
