Depends on just what you definte as "rich." But the way to develop a good cash flow from a taxi would be:

1) Buy your own taxi. Sell as much advertising space on it as possible. Rent it out to one or two other drivers to drive when you are not driving.

2) Use the momey generated from the first Taxi to buy a second taxi, and rent it to other drivers all of the time, while continuing with the same pattern as before with the first Taxi. Repeat until you are operating 4-5 taxis, and you are no longer driving.

3) Purchase the needed permit to operate at airports or other city managed facilities that require special licenses. And continue to purchase more taxis (and at which point, you may also want to negotiate fixed cost maintenance plans, and repaint plans with local merchants - possible trade even with exchange for advertising space on some cabs).

At some point along this line, you will find yourself making a good cash flow (at least, if you are able to keep in the plan and survive against the competition).

well I am not sure how much they pay the cabbies, but I guess by putting in long hours and saving your money. Put into a savings account.
