Hey- I was just wondering what everyone thinks about this. I am 15, turning 16 in a couple months. My parents won't let me start dating. They think I am too young. They even find it difficult to let me hang out with girls (they do let me though). Anyways, I really like this girl and I am afraid my parents will tell me I can't be in a relationship with her. Any suggestions as to how I can approach my parents with this matter without making it corny? Thanks.

u should sit them both down....and tell them about the gurl that u like....tell them wat kinda gurl she is....explain to em dat u r about tu b 16 and that they should give u a chance and trust you. And tell em that they can meet da gurl and talk to her. Basically, jus tell em how bad u want this opportunity!

Why don't you become regular friends with this girl? Like, friends as you are friends with other boys. And then just tell your parents the truth: "we're just friends, nothing special going on."

Take it from there =p. If things work out well, you'll have a relationship in no time and let things develop naturally with your parents. Get them to know the girl and like her. And then after some time, you can approach them about this more easily.

By the way, what's your location? Coz if you live in somewhere like India, it might be a lot tougher for you than for me (I live in Taiwan, probably the most liberal country in Asia).

..... Well, I hope you're mature enough to NOT end up with a pregnant girl on your hands -__- If you aren't, then maybe you shouldn't be dating after all. Love and dating aren't all about sex, y'know...

If they've got a problem...I wouldn't tell them. Just tell them you are going out to hang with some "buddies"...make sure you've got a good buddy to cover for you too.
It's amazing to me that parents still have a problem with kids "dating". Isn't it better that you learn young while you still have parents to help you thru the problems?
I'd rather my son have an early relationship than to get out on his own and not know how to treat a girl. He'd be very alone that way.

Do not hide it from them unless you plan on hiding a pregnancy from them if there is one.Talk to your parents and let them know when they don't let you date it makes you feel like they can't trust you and that makes you sad. If you have given them reason to not trust you, your out of luck. If your a good son and you explain how important this girl is to you they might understand.
