Only you can find out the "right way" so start studying and learning about all the different religions. Then you choose the one that feels right to you. Go with your gut feelings. Then just focus and that and practice and don't worry about what other people are telling you to believe. Choose the one that gives you the best sense of peace and support. that is what you need to help throught life's rough spots. good luck.

IMHO, you shop around and find out which church relies on the Holy Scriptures the most. If you find a church that preaches great sermons without referencing the Bible, then try another.
The only word that counts is the word of God.
Listen to the sermons, and then read the text for yourself and see if you agree that the text actually says what they told you it says.
Personally, I am Southern Baptist, and my church is well known around the country and in many other countries as well.
We have a great choir, and orchestra, as well as an pipe organ.
We had a pastor that led the church for 50 years, and his name would be well known as well.
To provide that name would be to tell you where I live and none of us reveal that information in an open forum.

Listen to me and listen good. Trust me.
i was searching for 20+ years for the answer to that very question and i found it!
Atheism. They are all wrong and i know. I have already done the work for you. I have gone to churches, read books, gone to christian school for 13 years, etc. etc.
if you choose to go the religious route, your life will be forever changed in a way a cannot even describe. You will become ovewhelmed whith the complete duality of you life and you will keep telling yourself things and convincing yourself and others that whatever you believe at the moment is right, but believe me this works great in the short term, but when you get home and start to really think about it, you will be stuck.
Get a good start and just completely skip religion all together. Trust me in 20-30 years i predict that all religion will be dead and will just be a source for comedy and for people to remember and question why they believed such crazy things.
The things you learned about evolution and science are true, dont forget that and these religions are based upon GODS not science. there is no big bang in religion, there is no evolution in religion and trust me, these are the most sane things that i have ever heard, but these people refuse to believe them.

That is not for anyone to tell you. Why? Because every religions believes they are right. What you need to do is go to a church of each denomination and see which one's preacher makes you feel like you are the only one there. Which one has the message that hits closest to home for you? If none, then at least you can make your own judgement on what feels right for you. You may decide that no denomination is right for you, but that doesn't mean that you can't have a relationship with God, or a belief in your heart.

You don't make your choice because you decide which of us is believing the correct way. The Bible says, all have sinned & come short. The only way is through Jesus Christ. You get into a church and, "believe on the Lord Jesus Christ" Do your best to
make a difference in that church. If you are waiting for the perfect church full of perfect people you will wait too long!
I think Gary gave the best answer!

Read the Bible (concentrate on the New Testament) and check out local churches in your area to see who comes closest to saying and doing what the Bible directs.
It may happen that after some time, as you learn more about the Bible and your church, that you will see that the church you are in is not as close as you thought, if you can find another church. It is better to change churches as you grow in God than be held back by a church (although God bless the first church you went to for helping you).

I don't know who would be wise enough to guide you, so all I can say is, "Search and pray, pray and search."
"What separates us as believers in Christ is much less than what unites us." (Pope John XXIII)
Almost all important doctrine is completely agreed upon between Catholic Christians and other Christians.
Here is the joint declaration of justification by Catholics (1999), Lutherans (1999), and Methodists (2006):
By grace alone, in faith in Christ's saving work and not because of any merit on our part, we are accepted by God and receive the Holy Spirit, who renews our hearts while equipping us and calling us to good works.
There are many minor doctrine issues and some major cultural traditional differences which, I believe, do not matter that much.
A Catholic worships and follows Christ in the tradition of Catholicism which, among other things, recognizes that Christ made Peter the leader of His new Church and Pope Benedict XVI is Peter's direct successor.
With love and prayers in Christ.

Much of the differences between all of the different types of churches is trivial. As long as the church you go to is bible based, and centered on Christ then you should have no problems. You don't have to agree with everything that is said at your church. All of the churches you named above would fall under the "Christian" category.
Judaism is pre-christianity. It's Christianity without Jesus, they don't believe he was the Messiah even though he fullfilled every prophecy. Muslims are post-christianity. They believe that they recieved the final revelation from "Allah" whom they claim is the same God of the Jews. Mormons are also post-christianity. They have the book of Mormon which was written in the 20th century and has little real historical signifigance.

I LOVE that first answer. LOL! I used to be obsessed with which one was "right". I know how you feel, I really do. Whatever you do, don't let anyone make you feel obligated or intimidated into a direction that you don't really feel like will be right for you, and use good reliable resources in your research if you do any. Don't waste your time with haters, no matter what.
Christianity, at least some denominations, have become just a little too obsessed with "correct beliefs". You can't know for sure. And you don't really need to know for sure. Why would you need to know for sure? To feel better than others? You just need to have some faith in God and love for others. Which direction will bring you that?

it doesn't really matter what religion is right (in my personal opinon) even though i am catholic i'm not saying anyone who is catholic is going to hell. I think it matters more that you believe in god and try to make the world a better place (are giving and king). If you think about it, most all relgions center around a higher power, worshipping that higher power, and trying to help others. I think that's all that is important and it isn't too big of a deal if there are slight differences in each relgion. Just figure out what relgion suits you the best and
