Ok I'm 16 years old and my best guy friend and I have liked eachother for about a year and a half now. The problem is he won't do anything about it. When we first started liking eachother we were both 15 and not allowed to date and I would earn 1,000 dollars if i didn't kiss anyone till i turned 16. So of course I didn't kiss him! On my sweet 16 I thought for sure he would kiss me. Nope. 6 months later when he turned 16 i asked him to a school dance and thought maybe he would kiss me then, he had held my hand and we cuddle all the time so i was hoping so bad this would be it. No such luck. Now 4 months later still nothing. It's like ever since he held my hand he has backed away or something. I really really like this boy and I don't know what to do. Pleasw help!

if he is your best friend u should b able to talk about anything.all i can say is talk it over in a fun way.He may b finding it hard to adapt to a more serious thing.

Well, this should help :) I mean if you like him, then why cant you ask him out, maybe he is just shy or confused about how you feel about him.....so just ask him out :)
Act like you normally do around him. Be yourself!
Ask him questions about himself. This way you'll learn more about him.
Get a little flirtatious! If you don't know how to flirt, then check out the 'How To Flirt' pages on wikihow.
Once he becomes more talkative, gradually tell him how you feel about him.
Ask him to a movie or something you both enjoy doing. If it makes you uncomfortable to call it a date, just ask him if he wants to 'hang out.' Congratulations, you've asked him out!

I think he's scared because he doesnt want to ruin your friendship. I like my guyfriend and he likes me too but we arent going to do anything about it because we may act differently then we do now. I say, stay friends it isnt worth the risk. But, if u do he might act different and you may say 'where did the old (insert name) go? I loved him and now he's gone'

Maybe he's waiting for you to move on, just like you're waiting for him! So, stop waiting and get next to his face and say: "I love you!" and kiss him...Then, he will be much more comfortable to do the same and start dating you!

kiss him first! you dont have to wait for him to make the first move..or talk about it with him say " i really like you..but i dont know if you feel the same way anymore"(cant hurt to pretend unless you already know)..just be forward about it now becasue the holding back thing..really isnt working

From your description I think he values your friendship and is afraid if he makes a move on you he may lose it. So, make the move yourself to show him it's OK or ask him why you've never gotten together.

Well maybe he thinks it is not the right time and after all u have known him forever and he might not want to risk your friend relationship. maybe you could kiss him instead of him kissing you? it might be possible!?

Stop waiting for him. You're never going to get anywere. He's obviously too shy to ask you, so go ask him. You can do that you know. Make the first move, because he won't.

Jeez, well why don't you kiss him? It really does annoy me when girls think guys should always make the first move! Get closer to him, don't wait for him to get closer to you.
