Tell him to stop being so damn controlling, if this keeps up break up with him because I have been with a control freak and he turned into a psychopath.
There's nothing wrong with having lots of male friends, most of my friends are males. I prefer male friends over female friends because most of the female friends I have had were all about gossiping about one another and back stabbed one another. You shouldn't change your circle of friends for him.

Of course it's jealously, but what you need to think about is if you gave him a reason to be jealous or if he's just a jealous guy. Do you spend too much time with your guy friends, or is your boyfriend just worrying over nothing?

That's more than jealousy. Its obsessive, compulsive, controlling, and self centered behavior.
It sounds like he has some trust issue. Do you question him about calling his female friends? Does he have alot of female friends?
If you allow this sort of behavior to occur, it will only get worse with time. He sounds like he has some issues to work on self.
5 Steps foe a Successful Relationship
1. Have a solid friendship.
2. Meet each others' needs.
3. Set specific goals.
4. Get back to basics.
5. Take responsibility.

Yes I would say he is jealous.
I would Also kinda be a little bit worried that he could become abusive. If he truly loved you he would have trust in you and not be worried that there is something going on with you and your friends. As for making out right in front of them if you are a privet person then you should keep it that way and not be a public display.

Yes, he is jealous. You need to get out of that relationship before he gets to controlling and isolates you from your family & friends. Do not make-out infront of your friends with him; that will only degrade you as a person. He is only trying to show ownership of you, you know like a dog peeing on a tree to mark his territory.

If that's really the way he's acting and he has no reason to be insecure with your relationship, then that sounds like excessive jealousy.
But, maybe you're misreading his actions. He may just need you to tell him that you care for him. Most reasonable people like their boy or girl friends to have other friends of the opposite sex.

Well, did you do anything to arouse his suspicions? Did you hug them, kiss them or flirt with them? Then his suspicions are justifiable. He wants you to make out with him in front of them to show them that you're taken. Is that so hard for you to do? But he shouldn't prevent you from calling them. Thats the only part I disagree with. Try putting him at ease and work out a compromise.
Oh and try to get him some female friends.

He's pretty much jealous. But he's also scared that you might leave him for one of your guy friends. But he should really be trusting you enough that he would let you hang out with your guy friends.
