I decided to go back to school and I just find out that it's going to cost me about $100 to fill out the FAFSA. I don't remember paying for it the first time. Am I delusional or is this a new thing?

FAFSA stands for *Free* Application for Federal Student Aid. You should not have to pay unless someone fills it out for you (just like having your taxes prepared). You can go to http://www.fafsa.ed.gov and submit it online there.

Really? If you went to a FAFSA web site it may have been a knock off. FAFSA stands for Free Application For Student Aid. If you just did FAFSA.com then you are at the wrong site. You should try http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/index.htm. Good luck if this doesn't help

You went to the wrong site. www.fafsa.com is a scam where they charge you to process your fafsa (FREE application for federal student aid). go to www.fafsa.ed.gov to complete the form through the governments's site. DO NOT EVER give money for federal financial aid searches or scholarship searches even if they promise to process it faster.

Sombody is trying to take you. It's free to fill that out. It's really easy. You can do it over the website or get a form the school and turn it in.

Yeah. It's unfortunate but it does cost money to process these applications. Nobody works for free.
