Well binge drinking limits these days can mean still being sober after a session which can be disappointing to the modern-day young drinker (like myself).
A 17 year old male would be comfortably in their health limits to drink 2-3 units a night. A unit is half pint of ordinary strength lager incase you didn't know.
I'm a 20 year old, 8 stone female who can get away drinking 4 pints in a night without feeling drunk and a lot of it comes to alcohol tolerance which you can build up. In the long run it's not good for your health but the average young man likes a drink every once in a while and tolerance will build up.
As a student I normally spend every Wednesday night drinking up to 20 units (nearly as much as I should a week!) which definately is not advisable for your health, so its better to have a few drinks spread out over the week.
So don't go over board and just enjoy your drink is prob best advice.

1) Advised amount of alcohol - NONE, you're underage! Worry about football/your family/your girlfriend/friends before you worry about your alcohol consumption!!
2) Binge drinking is a research term defined as consuming five or more drinks on a single occasion. It is a useful term that is associated with a rise in alcohol related harms. Those who binge drink are at increased risk of fights, unwanted sexual advances and automotive collisions. Collisions involving high blood alcohol concentrations increased among younger drivers, while alcohol-related crashes decreased among other social drinkers.
You phrased your question correctly - 17 year old BOY. You'll be exposed to alcohol enough when you're older. Enjoy your youth!

Well, the advised amount is none... but if you determined to drink the thing to keep in mind is to not drink too fast. If you're used to drinking sodas, you may drink alcohol too fast. I remember the first time I really got drunk--I stopped when I felt a buzz, but keep getting drunker because the alcohol was still building up in my bloodstream. Again, I'd suggest not drinking at all until you're legal age, but if you must why don't try to nurse the drinks so you're only have one every 90 minutes.

How about none?? You are under age and it is illegal for you to be drinking. Also, alcohol can cause brain damage for teenagers.
