I work with an animal welfare society. So, the answer is yes. I help rescue and rehome as many animals as I could, try to get the government and local municipailties to have stricter animal welfare laws, promote spaying/neutering, promote responsible pet ownership, involve in teaching animal handlers to humanely handle animals, educate school kids, attend animal welfare conferences, have outreach programs for public awareness, etc.

And oh yes, I also recycle...

consider you one hundred%. there's a huge difference between animal rights and animal welfare. regrettably inspite of the indisputable fact that, i imagine many human beings nevertheless lump them mutually. i have been noted as an 'animal rights activist' earlier for wondering the circumstances particular animals were kept in, or for wondering really practice/operating high quality canines must be bred. like you, and the majority right here, i change into shocked as for me...animal rights activists are loopy Peta nut-jobs who imagine possessing a puppy is against the law hostile to nature. even as i don't experience this way, I DO experience that they have got a "good" to a loving being concerned abode the position they're dealt with ideal. i am going to reword that and say that each canines advantages a strong abode and considering the human beings domesticating them, it truly is our pastime to furnish that for them. you may want to imagine a vet's workplace might want to understand the massive difference and use the right words. reputable: very last component i purchased for my canines change right into a bag of Orijen. No...wait...that change into my loose bag, so earlier that i purchased a bag of freeze dried liver treats and a bottle of anti-itchy shampoo (Edward looks to have some seasonal grass hypersensitive reactions)

I do recycle but if it paid more, more people would probably do it.. For aluminum cans, it's 50cents a pound.. for paper, it's 1 cent per 1000 pounds.. I recycle cans...It takes more for garbage bags to keep the paper and boxes than I get from recycling. I wish we had an animal welfare group here I could help.. we don't..I would love to work with ASPCA but my town offers NOTHING

Yes! We help our local wild life rescue centre, a reforesting charity, Oxfam. We give clothes to charity shops, we use energy saving light bulb (they're great, I've had them for 10 years...never had to replace them)...well the list goes on...but it's a drop in the sea, it's nowhere near enough.
I know that the only way things can change is for all of us to change our ways, to stop having an economy of growth and to stop kidding ourselves.

I work at London Zoo. I help with the conservation of wild animals, preventing endangered species from going extinct, and reintroducing animals back into their natural habitat in the wild.
That's my bit for the planet.
