Why are 4x4 drivers slow road hogs who are think they own the road?

There not, I my self do not own one but I find this 4x4 business so boring now, look there are Volvo drivers who think there the king of the road, BMW owners who don't know where the indicators are horse box towers who don't give two hoots about others behind never mind tractors!!! I think if you look at the grand scheme of things they are no different to other road users. You should try and get in one for a start they are so much easier to get in and out and also drive just like a normal car.

one were not infact. it always small cars holding me up on the motorway, and range rovers flying past in the CORRECT LANE

two, ive sold mine, but i took it off road all the time and would have been able to continue too but people who live in the city who never go to the countryside are to busy stopping people using the countryside for what it is

three, cyclists dodder more, they go through red lights, and kick cars for no reason

four, if your so anti 4x4 do you know the facts? i owned a mercedes g-class, and yes it maybe large and heavy, but it has had little effort (and therefore energy) put into developing it in the last 25+ years so less emissions that way, never breaks down so does not require parts, lasts for much longer than a modern new car and is hand built in austria where every model of g-class is put together in the same line, from the military ones shipped out to the middle east for action to the top spec ones, shipped out to the middle east for luxury.

i have had more near misses due to older people driving to slow in the wrong lane and then breaking suddenly when a car comes the other way in its own lane than i have ever had from a 4x4 hogging the road, and i now drive a 306 (not out of choice) over 25,000miles a year on motorways, country lanes and in busy cities.

you anti four by four lot are just against people who you think are showing off their wealth. i have friends with volkswagen polos thate cost 5 times as much as my old 4x4, look on autotrader and see the real costs of these things.

They aren't all like that. The truth is it just seems that way because most big SUV's and 4x4's are a bit slower than cars and the drivers have to be a little more careful how they drive because it's harder to judge distances when you drive something the size of a school bus to commute to work.

I'll tell you what, I much rather have them drive slow then have the guys who drive these things 85 mph like they are sports cars and ride your bumper on the highway when you know they need like 1500 feet to stop their giant trucks.

Let em drive slow, in the slow lane I say.

hey tommy...u know why bikers tend to kick at cars? cause u dam near killed them from u not paying attention from having that cell phone stuck in ur ear. i had to dodge 4 of ur kind last season. if i hadnt been on the beam, 'u' would have taken me out.

i have a feeling chelsea is jealous. deep down she wants an suv, but she cant either a:afford 1, b: afford the gas to run it, or c: a combination of the 2.
suv's are not as big of road hogs as tractor trailers. how about trying to drive a semi chelsea?

HMM...Why do most people need 4x4. Because they don't know how to drive. HMM....who else don't know how to drive, Everyone in a small sprots car. People don't have respect anymore. People talking on Cell Phones are proven to drive worse then people who are drunk. I have driven many 4x4's and trust me, i do not drive slow in them, and i still have those assholes in the little Civics withe the fart can muffler and big spoilers passing me weaving in and out of traffic. Whos being mroe dangerious, The 4x4 driver who is driving the speed limit but every other asshole behind him/her wants to drive faster, the asshold in the Civic who weaves in and out of traffic, or the assholes on the cellphones. if everyone took they're head out of thier *** they would realize that it doesn't matter the vehicle, it matters what vehicle is fit to size for you. (in my opinion are the short females in the big *** trucks that don't know how big the truck is when driving, or the assclowns of asian males who drive the civics (and equivialent) like they are the most important people on the road are the most dangerious

I am guessing that you are driving a small car and think that you own the road.
Wanna ram them with your car????You will be the one suffering the damage as you bounce of their tires. Other than that, their vehicles are not made for the roads and should stay off them. But until the laws change(just for you) you gotta put up with these rednecks.

I LIVE IN THE COUNTRYSIDE AND ONLY USE MY 4X4 TOYOTA HILUX SINGLE CAB TOP GEAR SPECIAL! THERE, EG FOR CARRYING HAY/ STRAW FOR MY ANIMALS GETTING LOGS /FIREWOOD TOWING HORSEBOXES,ETC,ETC AND GENERALLY MOVING STUFF AROUND A VERY USEFULL MODE OF TRANSPORT.GOOD IN THE COUNTRY NOT IN TOWN CENTERS AND ONLY USE WHEN I NEED TOO .SO DOES THAT MAKE ME A REDNECK .IF IT DOES IM PROUD TO BE ONE!!!
