Of course, you could choose to straighten your hair back either at home with a straightening iron (a lot of work and repeated heat agressions) or in a salon with a long-lasting effect chemical process (that will probably not make your hair as straight as it used to be). But you might end up with dried up lenghts and a lot of split ends, no matter how much hair masks and creams you use.
I would rather advise you to get a hair cut that will make the most of your new wavy hairtype. Long layers cut with a razor is a good idea to give shape, body and definition to your locks. And remember curly is sexy.

if you mean you got a perm...

i got a perm once when i was young-like 12ish. my hair has never been the same. it never fell the same when it was long...always went different ways. before it was pretty pin straight. only thing i can think of if you don't want to flat iron it every day is to get that japanese straightening treatment...i think it's expensive but i know it keeps your hair straight for a while. depending on how long your hair is you might only need to get it treated one more time before all of the perm is eventually cut out during your normal haircuts.
