Actually a sauna is good for your muscles after a workout. The only caution is to make sure that you drink enough water. The only real danger is dehydration or hyperthermia (your body will dangerously overheat if you stay in too long).

It's best to take a sauna before workout, and go to the steam room afterwards. Sauna relaxes your muscles and builds blood flow before workout. Steam room soothes it, later after workout. It's also good to take a sauna before yoga.

Before and after a sauna you need a few scoops of water to avoid severe dehydration that can lead to kidney stones.

If other people are in the sauna with you, you're basically killing yourself softly with every inhalation.
A sauna is a cesspool of bacteria, germs and parasites.
