whenever i tell my best friend that my boyfriend is gonna come into town she gets all defensive and flips out... i really dont think shes jealous cuz shes just not the type and ive known her for 9 years... so why does she get so uptight i dont act like that toward her boyfriend

so whenever my boyfriend comes to town my best friend doesnt want anything to do with me... if he's not due for another hour then she just cancels our plans and pouts... if we need to study while he is there she refuses to because she thinks i wont actually study but frankly my school work is most important right now and she knows that so i just dont know what her problem is... i know she doesnt like him and he better not like her so i just dont know

ask your friend if she has a problem with him!!! i have had to ask my friend of 9 years if she had a problem with my boyfriend and she just said that she dislikes him and she doesn't mind if i still see him

She is your bestfriend and she should be accepting of your boyfriend. You two need to talk. The perfect moment would be immediately after she starts being defensive and flipping out. Maybe after you both talk it out, things will get resolved. Otherwise, she may end up making you chose between them and you are entitled to a boyfriend as well as she is. 9 years is a long time... I think you guys can work this out, but the only way you can get this issue resolved is to talk about it.

This is difficult to answer because you provided little detail. Exactly how does she get defensive? What exactly does she say when you mention that your boyfriend is coming into town? For lots of reasons, she might be jealous of you, probably she don't want you to have a boyfriend ect....be honest and straightforward ask what the problem is? I have a bit the same situation I have a bestfriend for years now and on a few things, he's jealous of me. And I told him to smart up cause it could cause somes problems in our friendship. Good luck.

she could be jealous at da fact hat u'll prolly be spending more time with him instead of with her. but tell her to deal with it, i know how that can be. it gets really annoying. but if there's a reason that she doesnt like him, like if he's done something 2 hurt u or something like that. now if that's the case, she's just being a good friend. other than that, she's just being childish.

It is possible that your boyfriend had made a pass at your best friend, w/o your knowledge of course. You should press her for an answer. If she really is your friend, she'll tell you whatever the reason is.

What are her reasons?
If she truly is not the jealous type, then you should pay attention to her dislike. Sometimes our friends can see a reality that we do not.

She likes him! this is the reason. Better for u if u DO NOT tell her anything about your relations with your boyfriend! don't trust anyone (from my experience)! u can know a person all your life but u can not see her soul, inside feelings. There is no friendship between girls! they will betray u sooner or later......
