my female dog (precious) just had puppies they are 3 weeks old and some days.. i want to know wats the best pin worm med i can give her.. and CAN I GIVE IT TO HER WITH HER NURSEING>>??? she jsut recently got them... thanks

Why don't you call the vet and ask them? I think anything you give her over the counter for the worms will be fine, even with her nursing. Because if your dog has worms, you can bet the puppies do to. I would double check with your vet first though.

Dogs don't get pinworms. You likely are seeing either tapeworms of hookworms. As for deworming under vet direction ONLY with a dewormer prescribed by a vet...puppies and mom should be dewormed at 2, 4, 6 & 8 weeks old with a dewormer from the vet...do NOT self medicate or use OTC dewormers..they are not effective nor are they safe..they can cause some very serious problems even death.

I used to give my dogs whole garlic and it worked every time. Depending on the size of your dog. Smaller dogs just 1/2 clove. But it would be best to contact a vet since she is whelping her pups. Good luck!

yes,there are safe meds to give to pregnant/nursing females,and to young puppies.call ur vet.
