My hair gets curly and wavy when it dries, unless I use a straightener. Are there any products I can use or anything else that will straighten me hair?

The best is a product called Straighten Out from FX Special Effects. It works great! You can pick it up at any Walgreens or CVS.

I have very curly hair, and when I want a change I use a flat iron. Wash and condition your hair well and use something like John Frieda Straightening Serum or just the Frizz ease. Start flat ironing it while somewhat damp and use a spritz bottle to keep hair somewhat damp while ironing. Iron small chunks of hair at a time, it will last longer. I don't like the super straight look, so I do mine before bed and sleep on it. Leaves my hair fuller with alittle wave. Should last 3 or 4 days. Use a wide tooth comb or brush to smooth daily and spray on shiner to maintain. Of course flat ironing is not so good for your hair, I don't recommend doing it all the time.

DO NOT GET AN AT HOME RELAXER KIT. holy cow people, the saying goes true especially for hair products- you get what you pay for. professional products make a worlds difference. try products you can only get in SALONS like the biosilk hair line and my personal favorites are all the redken products. why do you think your hair looks so good right after you get out of the salon and then not when you do it yourself? you can also get your hair PROFESSIONALLY straightened- there's a new japanese technique that costs around $180 but is fool proof.

You can use a straight iron. It looks like two paddles (get the one with the ceramic paddles so it won't burn your hair) and works like a curling iron.
Plug it in, heat it up, then take small swaths of hair and run it through the iron.
Do not allow the iron to stay on one piece of hair. It will burn it.
There are two types of flat irons. One for wet heads, and one for dry heads. I recommend the one for dry heads because it won't burn your hair.
They cost about $90, but well worth it. They will straighten the hardest of hair.

To check out some reviews of flat irons and to see what I am talking about.
It's a lot better then any chemicals if used correctly. It will also leave your hair straight for about a week!
Good luck!
Hope that helps!

you can use a blow dryer and a vented brush >.< I wouldn't suggest straightening your hair because it's pretty much a perm without using the rods especially if you've used sun in (the spray in hair lightener) on any part of your hair

Ask your salon but there is like some straightner perm stuff that you can buy at like Wal-Mart but dont use it because after you use it you will never be able to use a hot straightner again because if you do it will like burn off all your hair as you straighten it. That's what the lady where i get my hair cut.

try a flat iron: http://www.nextag.com/508997476p/zz2zB4z23/prices-html. it works wonders and leaves your silky straight without the damage of permanent harsh chemicals.
