I'vehad this problem too. I finally got a good answer at a salon recently. I was told my hair was too healthy. The beautician recommended either dying my hair or using the chemicals that they use to curl hair (but not actually curl the hair) to damage the hair a little. I dyed my hair just slightly so it wasn't really noticable and it worked. My hair use to look really oily by the end of the day. Now I can go every other day without washing.

Wash your hair with shampoo after every 2 days and use conditioner after every 1 or two days. This should reduce the oiliness in your hair. Sometimes your diet also effects the texture of your hair

I also have VERY oily hair and my hairstylist told me a couple of years ago to use a shampoo with tea tree oil. I get mine at Sally's Beauty Supply. It smells nice and minty and it seems to help somewhat. I have hair that if I wash it in the A.M. by the evening it looks oily. It's THAT bad.

Good luck!

This type of hair is very fine in texture. It is easily affected by atmospheric pollution and needs to be shampooed and washed more often. If you have oily hair, then try and keep it covered when going out in the sun. Diet too is important. Avoid fried foods and dairy products. Increase your intake of fresh fruits, green and leafy vegetables and salads. Drink plenty of water. For more information visit

I hope this one helps you.

You can use conditioner and shampoo at the same time, don't wash it off for 5 min. then wash it off.blow dry your hair afterwards on low.if its oily the next day,try washing it everyday.

before you wash your hair, wet it down with white vinegar, leave on a few seconds then wash as usual. Also don't use mayonnaise.. that's for conditioning dry hair, not removing oil
you can also use vodka in place of vinegar

In between washings, rub a little talc powder into your scalp. It helps absorb the oil and isn't noticable if you don't overdo it!
