Weight and age have nothing, absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with one another.

Weight and height is another matter. Here's the rough formula:

start with 5" and 100 lb. Add 5 lb/inch for a woman and 6 lb/inch for a man

Remember, this is only a rough formula. Your body type will influence this, but that still doesn't mean that your wieght is necessarily a healthy one FOR YOU.

Check with your doctor or with the trainer in the gym and ask if you are at a healthy weight for you. This will require some additional measurements.

This question really has nothing to do with your weight, but it does have everything to do with your body image. And there is nothing about body image problems that is in the least bit physical. Further, problems with body image can be about any part of the body, but the problem is still a conceptual one and not not a physical one.. Please check the links below.

you may have problems with your metabolism; honestly, it's likely a meical condition if you've tried gaining weight and you can't.

Another possibility is to think about your daily activity, if your career or daily activities require a lot of activity, you are likely burning a lot of calories that way.

I would suggest you kick it up a notch...eat a lot of foods very high in protein, like tuna, eggs, and those shakes you buy at GNC...eat 6 times a day (you will feel like you're stuffing yourself, but hey - that's kind of the point, right?)...I would suggest working out at the gym while doing this, this way you can add muscle instead of just fat.

Good luck.

Everyone is different with weight. What might be the right weight for one person might not be for another person. It is not healthy to just eat junk food all the time to gain some weight. Try eating a lot of carbs, such as pasta, pizza, bread etc. but don't skimp on the vegetables! Also, eating right before you go to bed might help. Good luck!

You say 'less that 9 stone' but this is rather vague! Have you looked a a chart in relation to your height/sex/bone structure? 8.5 stone for example could be quite healthy. Have you worked out your glycaemic index? If you think you are very underweight, it could be useful to see your GP.

If you want to gain some weight, don't try to increase it rapidly and certainly NOT by eating/drinking junk food. Eat good quality food with a reasonable quantity of protein-rich foods as well as plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. Keeping fit is also good but don't overdo it.

Why do you need to put on weight? Just eat healthily (don't stuff yourself with junk food, it's not healthy), and do the right amount of excercise. You should only worry if it's making you ill.

Balanced diet, lots of small meals, that'll keep your energy levels up. Like me, you must have a high metabolism.

If you're healthy don't worry.
It depends on your gender, your height and your build.
