I've asked people if they think im fat, but they just keep saying that it's muscle. Even though im really athletic i still thinks it's fat. Plus i want to impress this boy at my school that's like my best friend. But i want to loose about 30 pounds. I'm 4'9

Plus i have a Mariah Carey look going on. I have her body( hips, butt, stomach) and her face. i've been told i could be her daughter.

hey honey :) boys don't care too much about your weight. as long as you are not seriously overweight, like 250 pounds, or seriously skinny, like 60 pounds, no boy is really going to notice. if you want to impress a boy, show off your athletic ability, learn the rules of football, or learn to kick butt at playstation and x-box games. be cool--that's what impresses a guy. i mean, isn't that why you like him, because he's cool? if he were really hot but not cool or fun you wouldn't like him, right?

right now your body is growing a lot. if you stop eating right or diet too much you could run the risk of permanently stunting your growth or really making yourself sick. i starved myself when i was 14 and 15 and now i am 5'6" my mom is 5'11" and i kick myself when i think about how tall and thin i could've been. when you get older, you'd rather be tall than short--easier to stay thin and look good, believe me.

just one more thing, if you're worried that weighing 114 at 11 means you'll weigh 150 at 16, quit worrying. i weighed 110 pounds in 5th grade and 118 pounds when i graduated from college.

Sweetie, I'm so sorry we live in a world where weight and beauty are linked together negatively. You are 11 years old. Too young to worry about such things, really.
If you want to lose weight, just contine to be active as you say you are doing. Do not go on a diet, but cut out the empty calories; snacks that are sugary and doughy and chips with all that fat and salt. Stop drinking soda which has a lot of calories too.
That should do it for you.
As for impressing the boy at school, I also think you are too young for that too. Just be yourself.

Hi!

I could say you're not fat. You're probably not, but I doubt that'd help.

I could say you should lose weight. You probably shouldn't, but again I doubt that'd help.

I could recommend some ways to lose weight, but nothing goes without bad things with it. Such as not having the mass required to gain height! Do not do it.

It is very important that you don't lose weight, you're at the age where you'll likely gain a lot of height, and eventually all that fat or body WILL disappear! You do NOT want to lose weight or you risk not having the weight for your body to grow properly. You don't want do that.

Chances are, you'll be a lot more visually appealing to this guy if you gained height naturally, which would definitely help your form, not to mention be a lot healthier. Not to mention this is the rest of your life we're talking about! Just keep fit and maintain exercise, exercise does wonders for physical appearance.

That isn't fat! And lossing 30 pounds to impress someone is extremely silly! I am 13 and if the only thing a guy cares about is weight, he isn't worth it. Don't get caught up in all the dieting and weight stuff. You are still growing and you need extra weight to grow. You will get taller and your weight will even out over your body. Eat healthy foods, no junk.

Well, maybe it really is muscle.

If you want to lose weight:

Eat healthier, no chips, only organic and all natural food (it's not as bad as it sounds), no soda or other stuff like that. If you play a sport, just keep doing that. Work out?

It could just be your body type. You might grow a lot all of a sudden and then you will be proportional or something.

You are too young to be worrying about how much you weigh. Just make sure that if you are worried, you are eating things that are healthy for you and exercising in a healthy way. Stay active and involved and try to eat healthy, meaning you can still eat junk food, just not all the time. Good luck! If you have anymore questions let me know!

if you lost 30 pounds you wouldn't exist. your normal, and as you grow bigger you will gain weight in the right place and loose it where it looks like ''fat''. puberty will help and for now just enjoy life, if this boy is your best friend I'm sure he will go out with you for being you, not your size!

You are not fat at 114#. You are young yet and you will grow taller and you body will mature. If you lose 30# you will look awful especially when you start growing taller. You are fine.

well normally that might mean your overweight, but since your athletic its probably just muscle like eveyone else is saying. and don't lose weight especially 30 pounds, your too young. and if you want to impress a guy just be yourself, and know that sound kinda lame but its true. if he doesn't like you for who you are, he is not meant for you. and its fine to be a little overweight, even though your not!!!
