I'm not trying to be a smart alek. I like sex, but never without protection. I would just like an honest answer from an honest woman. Don't women know when they are at the most fertile time of the month. Don't both men and women know that they should not have sex without at least a condom and she should be on the pill as well. Ok maybe the first two points somehow get lost after a few beers. Here is I thing I think is the most important point, why do people have sex without protection with people they wouldn't want to have a child with? I don't understand. I told a single mom that she wanted to get pregnant with the baby dady and she got mad at me. I don't understand how you accidentially have unprotected sex with someone, that you are not sure is parent material? Will anyone tell me the TRUTH.

First of all, most women do NOT know when they are ovulating. That is why there are kits and devices to help women figure it out when they are trying to conceive. But in any case, sperm can live inside a woman's body for approx 5 days, so using the 'rhythm' method doesn't work.

That said, I totally agree with you. If you are having unprotected sex, sooner or later you will get pregnant. It's not rocket science, it's basic animal biology. Don't want to have a baby? Don't have unprotected sex. If you are having unprotected sex, then you DO want to have a baby, IMO.

Or you don't care if you have a baby or not. (I think the big problem in our society is that having and raising children is considered no big deal -- and certainly not something worth denying yourself casual sexual gratification. It's like it's, "Oh well, I got pregnant. No big deal." And that's why we have so many children running around like animals because no one is actually raising them or at the very minimum being raised with little or no GOOD fathers in their lives.)

After all, having sex is not something that happens in the blink of an eye, there is plenty of steps and plenty of time to stop and say, "Whoa. Forgot the condom." But too many people just go ahead and trust to luck.

And yes, I know birth control can fail. But it usually fails from human error -- like putting on the condom at the very last minute or not regularly taking your birth control pills.

No, a woman doesn't always know exactly when her period is due, or when she is at her most fertile. It is easy to lose track of dates. Unfortunately, millions of people have unprotected sex because of poor judgement, too much alcohol, ignorance, inexperience or just an unexpected opportunity arises and they have no protection. Or, they may be using different birth control that fails. I'm sure there are women who deliberately get pregnant without giving much thought to the suitability of the father, but there are many others who don't. Even when married you cannot be absolutely sure either person will be a good parent beforehand.

Lets face it, the only 100% birth control is abstinence. If you are not willing to practice that then both the man and the women have to share equal responsibility in making sure birth control methods are clear, concise, and used. If not, then both could become parents. Why a man, much less a woman would want to have sex without at least a condom is mind boggling to me, forget the pregnancy issues, what about sexually transmitted diseases!

Giving birth to a new life is indeed a blessing which almost every woman would wish to have. How to get pregnant naturally https://tr.im/JigMw
Enjoying the feeling of motherhood and raising a family would surely be a couple’s dream. Some get it naturally, while for some others things don’t seem to work as they desire. These reasons which stop a women from conceiving can be due to either physical reasons or truly physiological.

I don't see pregnancy as a "purposely" wanted thing.
It's an individual reason as to why people have unprotected sex; they want to feel "it", some women think it makes her feel more important to that man,

As for some unplanned pregnancies; rap victims, condoms sometimes may break and there are no other BC method for back up. (my 2nd child that, I can not take BC pill-med reason, didn't know until I was 3mths...scary)

Women that are educated on their cycle will know how to estimate their ovulation if they are regular...some do not.

Some women do get pregnant on purpose to trap a man...
Some men lie and say they'll pull out or they are sterile, (no excuse bc condoms should be used against AIDS, STD's and HPV)
But never tell a woman she did it on purpose, each reasoning is diff...

SOME women call it an accident when they don't want to get pregnant but are too lazy to do the right thing to keep from it

BUT

why do you think it's only the woman's responsibility to NOT get pregnant? Two people become pregnant, not one. Both must take equal responsibility, the accident then being on the shoulders of each.

So, why not ask men the same question?

How does it happen?

No birth control is 100% accurate. I was once on the pill, my husband was using a condom and I was using a spermicidal foam as well....you guessed it, I gave birth to my second child 9 months later.

Condoms fail they are not 100%, even the pill is not 100%. And some times a person has unplanned sex, and they are not prepared.

it is called stupidity, I'm a 40 year old woman and I know the birds and bees. believe it or not some people are too embarrassed to go and purchase condoms. or to go to get birth control, only heaven knows why. everyone is still in the mode of "that won't happen to me". (almost everyone).
and condoms are safe and work if they are used correctly.

Women don't become accidentally pregnant...I say they do this to trap the man into looking after them. It is up to women to use protection at all times to prevent themselves from becoming pregnant.
