The combustion of fossil fuels is not a problem. God fixated that a few million years ago when he introduced plants . The plants need CO2 and so they make a perfect partner to inhabit the earth. The plants take in the CO2 and keep the C and give us back the O2 . Do u think u understand this. Where do u think all this fossil fuel came from?? God has taken care of us even with all our ignorance. Do u think u want to stop breathing out CO2 and the plants all die ,how long do u think u will last.

For more than a decade, Henrik Svensmark of the Danish National Space Center has been pursuing an explanation for why Earth cools and warms. His findings -- published in October in the Proceedings of the Royal Society -- the mathematical, physical sciences and engineering journal of the Royal Society of London -- are now in, and they don't point to us. The sun and the stars could explain most if not all of the warming this century, and he has laboratory results to demonstrate it. Dr. Svensmark's study had its origins in 1996, when he and a colleague presented findings at a scientific conference indicating that changes in the sun's magnetic field -- quite apart from greenhouse gases -- could be related to the recent rise in global temperatures. (Excerpt from an article in the "National Post", Canada, Jan. 5,/07, called "The Sun Moves Climate Change")

Your premise is incorrect. Fossil fuels contribute very little to global warming.

Since the glaciers last retreated, global warming has been occuring. There weren't cars, factories, or power plants when the last ice age ended, so clearly there are other factors that cause global warming - factors we cannot control at all.

Possibly the cyclical nature of the earth and its weather. A country like the U.S. which would have to change its habits, prefers to deny that it is causing the warming with its industrial and other practices.

the earth is causing it. No one can prove that mankind is burning enough fossil fuel to cause the problem.

It is a geographical phenomenon. The world will be flooded, oceans warmed, no seasons, and doomsday will be onto us before we know it.
