The Ozone Layer is a very thin layer that blocks out significant radiation from the sun, and protects us. A small amount of CO2 also can reflect a lot of infrared radiation back to us - which is the type of radiation that is emitted after the sun hits the ground and heats it up - a small amount of CO2 increase will cause the earth to get significantally warmer.

Even if it only makes up some of the atmosphere, it still makes this great blanket that covers the Earth, which will reflect and keep heat in the planet instead of going into space as it normally would. Other gases such as methane make up minute parts of the atmosphere, yet methane is 20 times more insulating than C02, and so even a bit of it can have huge effects.

Lets say that u could stop all the production of CO2 would u do it?? Would u stop breathing too . CO2 is not a pollutant and as far as covering the hole earth ,not so. CO2 is so heavy even where it is present,it is only here a short time before a plant takes it in and keeps the C and gives us back the O2. The present worst measurement is only 2 Parts per million. That is nothing and will not increase because of the plants absorbing it. It is what the plants make their food out of. Are u trying to kill all the plants??

It doesn't have much effect on global warming. That's politically correct nonsense. CO2 is a relatively weak greenhouse gas when compared to water vapor. Man made sources of CO2 are about 9 billion tons annually, or 5%, and 190 billion tons from natural sources like decomposition and ocean out gassing. Water vapor is much more significant in regard to its potency, and amounts by a large factor.

it traps heat. and also, its becoming a larger part of the atmosphere. the industrialized countries (especially america) are emitting large amounts of co2. also in tropical countries, many farmers burn the forests dow so they can grow crops, then when the land will not yield any more plants, they burn more down. this has two major effects. the trees used to filter co2 into oxygen, and the burning emits a lot more co2.

BEcause it is a greenhouse gas, and does not let the heat and other things escape from teh atmosphere. So pretty much it's stuck in our atmosphere contributing to global warming.

I suppose you mean effect, not affect. There is just too much Co2 in the air now.

Not sure but you might ask yourself how much co2 is exhaled by 6 billion people every second.
