MY FAVORITE SOURCE FOR subject matter for children's room is wallpaper sample books from a local design studio or local hardware store. THEN rent an artpaque projector from a local artist, art store or craft store. they range anywhere from a generic one for $19.95 to $400.00 THEN HAVE THE IMAGE MADE SMALL ENOUGH TO PLACE on the projector platform. the projector will illuminate the art on the wall and you can outline it with a lrg maker. then paint the areas with a wide variety of house paints or art acrylic..no need to put a protective coating on the wall if you use good acrylic paints...children's books are also a great source of art and children love comic book art blown up on there walls....

When I was young my mother painted my ceiling with clouds. To add an extra umph she tacked billow-y light fabric (somewhere between a net and a lining) in large folds to my ceiling so that it really did look like clouds in one corner. Then, she hung glow in the dark and handmade stars from the clouds with a needle and thread. It was so beautiful and great for my imagination! The walls remained unpainted for a bit, but then one (the one with my bed pushed against it) was painted shades of purple in the soft shapes of mountains. It turned out great because it was enough to ground the ceiling and tie everything in but since the space was small it didn't make it appear smaller either (like sometimes happens if you paint the whole room). Anyway, hope you have a fun time making the room beautiful and I hope your daughter loves it!

I think you should talk to your daughter and maybe make an enchanted forest theme, with fairies and cute little animals, but if you don't want it so complicated (I know I would never be able to paint that myself), you could go with your daughter's favorite color, or something. Or you could even hire a professional if you want to do something detailed. Talk to your daughter and see what she thinks. I dont really know how old she is though, so I don't know exactly how to help you.

The seasons sound cool. Its also something she can grow up with and learn the seasons easily. I like the one on each wall idea as well. Maybe different scenes on each fall
EX:Fall-A park with a bunch of trees and benches
Summer-The beach, with things in the picture that she likes to do at the beach
exc, exc.
Good luck!

it is a stable colour for slightly female's room! In my little brother's room, we did easy blue with white feather brushing on the backside 0.5 of the partitions. White sounds lovable with lavender too. you may get a duster (merely such as you're able to for dusting your place) gently dip the ends interior the paint, and dab it gently on the wall. different lovable colors which would be lovable with lavender: toddler pink toddler blue darkish pink very easy pink pearl (its a whiteish colour with a pearlish gleam) yellow they have some very lovable wall stickers so which you could purchase from merely approximately any shop that has paint. they're frequently sketch characters, and that they are made to bypass with specific coloration of wall. in uncomplicated terms some ideas! desire those helped. have relaxing! :)

maybe it should just be the same picture, painted four times with the different seasons on it, keep it simple, I wouldn't want all these fairy crap all over my room but then again, how old is your daughter?

What is she interested in? Is she a frilly girly-girl or a jeans and sneakers athlete? your idea for 4 seasons is super, just adjust the "scenes" to her interests and she'll love it no matter how basic or intricately you finish it. I hope you include her in the process too! What a great memory for both of you.
