I stopped taking the antibiotic about 5 days ago. I understand that it stripped me of my natural flora and that's why I am having diarrhea. I am just wondering what I can do to restore it. Thanks in advance.

Maybe you will get better with things like yogurt, I would also worry about something called C-diff colitis. It would take a stool sample to tell for sure, but it can be serious, and responds well to the medication, Metronidazole, in most cases.

Antibiotics often cause diarrhea. I would suggest eating a cup of PLAIN yogurt with live culture three times a day. Another thing that is good to restore your natural intestinal balance is buttermilk. If neither of these sound palatable to you, try this old remedy which I have seen stop diarrhea in its tracks even though everything else failed. A doctor told me to do this and it works! You need a REAL silver spoon. Use it to scrape the flesh of an apple and eat as you scrape. One apple eaten this way with a silver spoon and VOILA!! Back to normal!

Once you've stopped taking the antibiotic, your bacterial flora will return to normal, assuming of course, the cause of your diarrhea was the antibiotic and not something else.

Yogurt with live bacterial cultures will help. Also, get Imodium and use that to stop the diarreha.
