Last night I had this horrible feeling like I was being watched. I kept getting more and more uncomfortable. Finally I couldn't stay in my living room any more and went to lay down with my boyfriend. I laid there for about 10 minutes and I could tell that he was having a really bad dream. He was whimpering and trying to catch his breath but suddenly stoppped and woke up. At the same instance that he woke up we heard someone. It sounded like a little boy asking for help. It started out slow then got faster and more urgent. Both of us were so scared that we stayed up almost all night with lights on. I also couldn't leave my children by themselves. I stayed in their bedroom all night watching them sleep, but something was in there with me. I kept seeing something out of the corner of my eye but when I looked on straight at it nothing was there. I need to find info on my house but don't know where to start. Need Help and Advice! Who could I ask without sounding crazy?

I have no animals and my children are too young to make the call for help that we heard. Plus I have two little girls and this was a little boys voice. But it wasn't only me that heard it, my boy friend did too. But I will say that I am paranoid and scared but I don't think that I've made any of this up. Also to answer someone elses question we've been here for 6 months, but I found out that before we bought it, it used to be rented out and none of the families that lived here stayed longer than a year. Not sure why though. Thanks to everyone who answered.

i normally would say this sounds more like ghosts than spirit ... as spirit have better things to do than hang around houses
and ghosts are just left over energy in a home and will just replay
however
if there are cries for help , i am wondering if there is a spirit trying to get attention in some way ... although it is possible this is simply residual energy also
whatever it is ... i promise it is nothing at all to fear
but we are scared of what we dont understand and that is quite natural
i would advise one of two things here
asking a medium into the home , but one that has a good rep ... you can find some repurtable ones at a spiritualist church
or asking in a psychical researcher , who would approach it in a more skeptical and scientific way ... and if they felt the need they would bring in a medium anyway
if you wish to do this then i would be happy to help find one local for you if you need help in that way
dont hesitate to get in touch
and whatever you do ... dont be scared , because i do promise there is nothing to fear

If you know for sure that you're not paranoid and the b/f wasn't just having a bad dream, then you need to talk to a spiritual advisor of YOUR choice outside of here, whether it's a priest, shaman, wiccan, etc. (just make sure they're reputable if they're making claims to their "power", a real person will help you for free and expect no money from you... although an offering of some sort, that is commensurate with the help they've provided, within your honest means is a GOOD thing.

Well you could always call the non-emergency police in your area, and ask if they would know if any violent crimes happened at your homes address. Or, you could maybe search local newspaper articles at the library.
It does sound like you might have a lost spirit in your home. Don't be frightened though. It wants your attention because it needs help. If you are of a spirtual faith I would see my priest, rabbi, spiritual advisor, w/e it is, and see if he/she would do a home cleansing/blessing/exorcism. It's not like what you've seen in the horror movie "exorcist", its just a way of putting a lost soul to rest.

All depends how long you are living in this house....I f you lived in this house long time and nothing happen ...what happen last night is just your imagination...but if you mooved recently and things hapening..then possible the house is haunted with one or more spirits. Or possible a loved one member of your familly died recently and wants to come in touch with you. one way or another spirits did not heart the alive ones...we heart ourselves from the fear of the unknow...Just calm down...relax wait for more signs...and then ask the spirit... why it did not rest in peace yet....and if is any thing for you to do to help out.

Talk to a Bible believing, Jesus loving person. Someone in your city (not on line) - someone down the street at a local Baptist Church , or whatever . . .

try not to be scared, easier said than done i know, when you sense the spirit say out loud that youre scared by his presense and that you know hes there and youre going to help him find his family, my guess is if its a little child there looking for there mum or dad this is probaly why he called out to you and youre partner, meanwhile yo may wnt to get a pyschic in to help, te little guy mite just want you to know he's there, he may want to be part of youre family, just talk to him and try and get some pro help!!

Refrain from watching horror movies.........remove some big jars if there is....turn on always the lights. And play music....throw away your Latin words booklet.....open the window on day time. Call 911 if something happen....

you were not so much clear ...how long have you lived in that house???
couldnt be a cat or some little animal??
Have you tried to pray to see what happened??
Talk with the priest of the nearest church, and tell him the story.
