Besides squirrel and rabbit. I don't shoot birds unless they're crows.

here in africa we generally use 22rimfire on small animals like hares, duiker if they are close dassies etc. it is illegal to hunt game with it and most farmers only allow you to hunt with 243 and laregr

There are many 22's. Starting with the 22 rimfire up past the 22-250. I'll "assume" you mean the 22 rimfire. =)

Add to the above lists; raccoon and coyote. With game animals, be sure to use a hollow point .22. Pass on any shots that will not dispatch the animal quickly & humanely and be sure of what lies beyond your target. Only take shots you are confident in.

A .22 rifle is the most under estimated caliberin the shooting world. here in montana alot of people use the .22LR to hunt mountain lions and black bear. They work the best on groundhogs, birds, and other small varmit

That all depends on you. There have been plenty of white tail deer killed with a well placed head shot. However, most folks stick to small game. Primarily squirel and rabbit.

Plain and simlpe small game.Go from a coyote on down in size.

squirrel,raccoon, skunks, remember that will kill almost anything so be careful what you shoot you don't want to injure an animal

at a close enough range (50 yards or less) you can kill anything with good accuracy.
