I have tried and sometimes it says staight away that it has downloaded or just never says anything, And I cannot wach youtube videos but my javascript is definatly swiched on :( please help

get over internet explorer. ms got sued, and had to make changes... you got the changes in their las update. you won't be able to view the old flash files without some major un-doing....
get firefox! http://getfirefox.com

download from http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash and run the installer. You can verify that it is installed by going to http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/
If you use firefox you can also type about:plugins in to the address bar and it will list the plugins that you have installed

flashplayer checker, it will tell you what version you are using.
