we don't like cat food. why do the they?

Actually, people or the cat food made some research of what cats like before they make cat food.

Cat can eat anything from meats to bones. They like cat food because human make them eat. Not by choice!!

Well, mostly because that is what you feed them...but most of it has some kind of fish or poultry in it and cats typically like fish and poultry. Why do people like people food? Uh...because we are people... Cats like cat food because they are cats. If you feed a cat people food he will start to prefer it over cat food. So, I would not recommend feeding your cat anything but cat food. If you do feed the cat people food, don't feed him while you are eating or from your dinner table. Take the food to his food bowl.

I feed my cat wet canned food in the morning and dry cat food at night. Dry cat food exposure lasts longer, as far as freshness is concerned, than canned after opening. Canned food is healthier than dry. I want to make sure my cat is happy and fed. So, I say both are good.

It's all down to taste.

And if you had been raised thinking cat food was what you should eat you would probably like it as well.

They like it cause we feed it to them. If we gave them dog food they'd eat that (not the right nutrients so I don't recommend it). My cats eat people food, veggies (no salt) w/garlic and breads and leftover meat bits (during THIER mealtime not ours). I save the canned stuff for a treat or emergency rations.

Because it's high in protein and it's all they know, because you don't give cats table scraps or human food like you would dogs.
