2.5 L 4 cyl. is 4 qts.
4.0 L 6 cyl. is 6 qts.
some 6 cylinders for some reason would show full on the dipstick at 7 qts. why this is or which ones they are is beyond me. mostly it was in cherokees though.
5.2 L and 5.9L in grand cherokees is 5 qts.

properly first of all you went incorrect once you saved your jeep in a barn for an entire 3 hundred and sixty 5 days w/o working it. Any type of motorcar from a scooter to a ship needs to be began and ran monetarily. yet different than for that your spark plugs are probable ruined and would desire to get replaced. Flush your gasoline equipment and alter your oil. you would be suprised what those 3 issues could do to a motor vehicle. i could definately do this earlier messing with the coils, it needs to be completed in any case..

i mechanic for a living,,and to keep from over filling it do this,,change the oil,,add 4 quarts to it,,and start it,,and let it run for a minute or two,,then cut it off and re-check it,,it should take about another quart from this point,,this is how i do all of them ,because some cars now days hold odd amounts of oil,,used to it was either 4 or 5 quarts,,now sometimes it 4.5 quarts,so do it this way,and you can get te exact amount you need in it,,good luck hope this help,s.,,but just add like a half a quart a time ,at the end till you get it full,,,PS some of the six cylinders did hold 6 quarts,,and the deep pans 7 quarts.

Each car varies just call a kragen or just a local auto parts store and they can look it up in their database.
